Hemingway Pouch Class

In this class we will cover basic straight line quilting, work with Soft and Stable, as well as learn how to install a diagonal zipper. We will making a large pouch which finishes at 9" x 12" and will hold an iPad or eReader. The pattern offers 4 sizes.

Class Supplies:
Hemingway Pouch Pattern
Supplies listed on the back of the pattern:
2 fat quarters - 1 main and 1 lining
1/4 yard accent fabric
21"x18" Soft & Stable
24" zipper (or longer) with one pull. Zipper Tape by the Yard was used in class sample

Traditional Class Supplies:
Sewing machine with walking foot for quilting. A zipper foot or narrow 1/4 foot is also helpful for zipper installation
Ruler, Scissors, Seam Ripper, Pins/clips
Rotary cutter/mat (some mats are provided in classroom)
Thread for sewing and topstitching

Optional Supplies:
By Annie Basting Tape (for zipper installation) or basting glue
505 adhesive spray to hold layers for quilting
Chalk for marking
